Southern Dakelh nation Alliance
As a senior planning advisor, David Hill supported the development of a strategic economic development and community sustainability plan for the South Dakelh Nation Alliance (SDNA), a collective of four First Nations negotiating a Title Agreement with the Federal and Provincial governments. The SDNA worked through its two Pathway Agreements with the Provincial and Federal Crown governments, to work towards key strategic priorities for self-determination, including financial independence and self-sufficiency.
David worked with community leaders, staff and Crown government partners to identify critical and effective pathways to economic sustainability based on a combination of the shared and unique visions of each Nation, the emerging economic opportunities, and the sustainability of the land base. David continues to work with South Dakelh Nations and their partners to support innovative and interconnected pathways towards reconciliation and self-determination.
