Hannah Gentes joins Hill & Associates as our Engagement and Planning Advisor. A Saulteaux-Métis Social-Ecologist and project manager, Hannah brings over five years of experience leading conservation, restoration, and environmental monitoring initiatives with a strong focus on Indigenous engagement across British Columbia.
Hannah holds a Master of Science in Environmental Studies from the University of Victoria, specializing in Indigenous-led ecological restoration, plant health, and community well-being. Hannah excels in field-based monitoring and integrating Indigenous ways of knowing into land stewardship and organizational practice. She has developed inclusive, decolonial policies and built partnerships with Indigenous Nations, NGOs, and academic institutions, supporting systemic transformation and cultural humility. Committed to hands-on education and stewardship, Hannah fosters ecological integrity and cultural resilience.
In addition to her work, Hannah enjoys creating visual art and music, as well as many community and outdoor pursuits, including hiking and whitewater kayaking.
